Former Employee My experience at Appian was deeply disappointing due to consistent mistreatment and a lack of leadership support. Under the new leadership structure, I was repeatedly marginalized, dismissed, and left without support, even when I raised concerns through the proper channels. The behavior I encountered was inappropriate, unprofessional, and often hostile, and it created a work environment that did not feel fair or safe. When I asked for guidance or clarity, I did not receive coaching or constructive feedback. Instead, I experienced treatment that felt targeted and discriminatory. My concerns were ignored or minimized, and no meaningful action was taken to address them. Despite strong performance, solid client relationships, and positive feedback from peers, the internal culture I experienced made it impossible to succeed. The disconnect between Appian’s stated values and the actual behavior of leadership was significant. I am sharing this to provide transparency for others. The challenges I faced were not about ability or effort but about how I was treated by leadership. I hope Appian takes accountability and addresses these issues so future employees do not have the same experience.
