Base salary was low. Products are strong, company invests a lot into R&D. However, the competition was fierce, with contracts and a strong duopoly making sales difficult in IDNs.

My overall experience was negative. Applied sells commodity products that are only bought when on-contract with a health system. The only novel products they have are niche and not popular with surgeons. I was there for 5 years and observed a toxic culture across various sales teams.
