They promote internally however they do not pay internal promoters anywhere near what they pay external hires or close to what the market pays for this. It is private equity backed so there is no equity or other perks to the compensation.

I like working here, they have great culture but with sales being down all they care about are the metrics. It's death by metrics and some of them are never attainable. I hope they start to do away with them as they're going to hurt client relationships.
