Former Employee Datarobot was a visionary for creating technology to allow business SME’s and non data scientists to create, monitor, and maintain sophisticated ML models. The presale resources was mostly top notch data scientists. The demand for the product greatly reduced the last several years with AWS, MSFT, Google, and DataBricks offering cheap or free competitive solutions that was geared towards serious data scientists. One of the biggest issues is getting budget approved as core IT will foot the bill for most competitors as part of their Cloud spend agreements and data science hiring has slowed as well as the demand for “citizen AI” solutions. Business have focused dollars on “need to have” solutions for security and infrastructure.
