I’ve heard the culture at Deel encourages lying to prospects about competition to win. This makes me really nervous about applying - I heard this from reps working at Deel. Is this the case with every manager or is this pushed by top leadership?

I don't agree with this at all.  Some products are newer and aren't the best but I don't believe AEs need to lie in order to win deals because 90% of our products truly are the best in-market.

Deel has a strict adherence to a No competitor bashing policy.

Highly inappropriate to try winning client favor by focusing on alternatives instead of our solution.

Not true, I never feel like I have to lie to prospects. They are having us push domestic products pretty hard rn even though they aren’t at the level of our competitors quite yet but with time it will adjust. Overall this is not true from my experience

There are many negative aspects about Deel in terms of culture, and definitely, it's a place where only a certain personality can thrive long-term. My experience was not great, but this statement is simply not true. Deel was then and is now by far the most comprehensive player in the field. We were never dishonest or bashing competitors with prospects. Remember when you work at Deel you are almost always the preferred vendor.

As a current sales manager right now at Deel - this is not true. In fact, we are mostly playing from behind because our main competitors are verrrrrry sketchy. CEO of Rippling has lost multiple lawsuits for lying to the government so we are fighting the other way around - people come to us thinking all these brilliant things about Rippling that are wrong.

To be honest, Yes it's true!
Sales people promise a lot to the client but when it comes to customer support Deel is at the bottom. If you are looking to join in the sales role beware it will hamper your personal credibility with the clients. The work culture is not that employee friendly.

This is categorically not true. Having worked at my time there with reps across NAM, EMEA as well as APAC, this is actively prohibited. The global compliance space is too nuanced for this behaviour to be tolerated.

100% fake news! Integrity and honesty is core to our sales philosophy.  As a Sales leader at Deel, I wouldn’t tolerate misinformation passed on to our clients. We wouldn’t be the global payroll leader in G2’s quadrant or #1 in Trustpilot if the info you received were true.
