Former Employee Great product market fit and most SDR managers/associate directors are supportive and invested in your success. However, if you’re hoping to grow into an AE role, this isn’t the place for you. You’ll be an SDR here for 2+ years. Internal SDR to AE promotions are extremely rare, not because of a lack of roles open but because they prioritize hiring externally.
In the last year they’ve promoted maybe 5 SDRs to AEs out of an SDR org of 60+ reps despite strong internal talent. In the last couple of months alone several top-performing SDRs have left to pursue AE roles elsewhere because there is no clear path forward here. Unfortunately, senior leadership places very little value on the SDR org when it comes to career development long-term.
As far as being an SDR here, it’s gotten more difficult as they’ve drastically changed ROE rules and comp structures. Earning potential went sown significantly and when concerns were raised, the response was essentially “too bad”.
Bottom line - if you’re looking to grow your career in sales, Deel likely isn’t the place for you. Browse Other Reviews
