My overall experience was positive. The lay for CSMs was on the upper end. They offer merit adjustments each year, based upon performance reviews. Goal attainment was difficult based upon which account portfolio you got. The legacy products were market leaders. The recent acquired products faltered and were always a threat not be renewed. The senior leadership team changed several times during my tenure and the commitment and mission of Customer Success was also lost.

The market has caught up to Flexera, leaving us with marginal and unclear technical differentiators to attach value to with a customer. This makes negotiation very difficult which is leading to a steady erosion of deal value. Combined with drastic reduction in deal volume, the ability to hit quota is very low.

I really enjoyed working at Flexera and spent four years here. The technology drives savings in every account and the company strives to have the best SAM offering in the space. The comp plan was the best of my career when I was a Major Account Manager and the CEO has been great about rewarding and recognizing top performing sellers.
