As a BPA, you own a self generated book of  SMB orgs under 150 ee’s and channel partners i.e. brokers/CPA’s. Little to no marketing is done but in my office, an avg. of 7-8 leads came in monthly. The DM assigns them out. 80% of these went to one favored BPA. It’s on you to generate your own leads.

Former BPA here…if you’re getting zero inbound leads, odds are a more experienced BPA on your team is getting them from your manager. Fortunately most of my team was new so we got them round robin’d (as they should be). Other teams were not so lucky, especially if the experienced BPA is demanding it

Inbound lead flow is totally dependent on YOUR referrals from your network. The company does little to no marketing and you're completely on your own with extremely outdated tools to establish your own, hyperlocal book of business. You're expected to go out and shake hands, kiss babies, and be "visible" in the community. Inbound lead flow is nonexistent.
