How do you feel about the sales compensation plan offered by Insperity?

Salary was pretty low considering you have to prospect and fill your own pipeline. Not many reps hit quota and they have pretty high turnover depending what office/territory you are in. The Enrollment Fee's can be pretty high and a couple of bigger deals and you could make good money. You also get monthly residuals based on how many employees you have run through payroll on your accounts. Over a long period of time this is how you make crazy money there

Salery is terrible for the Bay Area.

Enrollment fee is heavy and good comp

Just need to close deals to get the enrollment fees.

I would look at how may folks in the org are hitting goal. Enrollments fees mean nothing if your not closing deals.

The biggest issue is having to "split commissions" with senior salespeople (BPA's).

In your first year or two, you will have to bring in a senior BPA on every single deal so, you'll have to split your commissions with them.  Admittedly, it's a complex sale so, you'll need help closing your first few deals.  However, once you've closed a few deals and you feel like "you got it" Insperity will continue to force you to bring in a senior BPA and split your commissions and enrollment fees with them.

New BPA's are basically lead gen for senior salespeople.

FYI, there is a threshold you need to sell in a given year, before they will let you sell on your own.  However, that threshold resets so, even if you miss it slightly in year one, you'll have to wait another year and continue to split commissions with senior BPA's.

Bottom line, if you can survive a year or two, you can make decent money with residuals, long term, but it is a slow grind.  Moreover, judging by the dozen or so people in my training class, only one of them is still with Insperity, 6 years later.  Most left within 2 years so, any sold revenue commissions goes to the house (Insperity).
