Current Employee Johnson Controls is a good large company that does what large public companies do, and that’s focus on their revenue. My division is a lower revenue, higher margin division than the other 2 and we don’t get near as much support. The sales leadership doesn’t listen to their in field sales people enough and their new compensation plan, despite a 30% reduction in top sales staff leaving the company, has remained in place and hardly changed. This was a great company that compensated very well and promoted going above and beyond and selling large sized deals to a company that lacks trust between in field staff and upper leadership. I really hope after this fiscal year they realize where they went wrong, listen to the comments of their sales staff, and get back to being a high performing, highly rewarding company.
