Current Employee My overall experience at LinkedIn as a first line leader was phenomenal from a earning potential perspective. From a culture and development perspective, the organization met most of my expectations. There is a constructive criticism for the organization would be transparency into business processes, and ROE issues. Microsoft has just cut their headcount by 15,000 people. This included 2500 individuals from LinkedIn. Most of them successful sales leaders and individual contributors. My overall outlook for LinkedIn is tempered with caution as they try to embrace artificial intelligence into their product set. The culture has shifted from order takers to a much more proactive hunter approach. My final critique is that particularly senior leadership from senior director, and above cannot be trusted currently to be transparent. Teams were hitting their goals and crushing quotas. This still led to a slashing of headcount. The expectation that by hitting your goal, your job was secure is no longer the case at LinkedIn. If I were a new sales leader or rep coming into this organization, I would keep 1 foot in the door and one outside as Microsoft puts pressure on LinkedIn to use AI to replace people in all areas.
