Current Employee OpenGov is, generally speaking, a really good place to work… IF you bust your ass for 8-12 months, things fall in place for you to be really successful after ramping. Some products are better than others, same with territories, but the BEST reps will stand out no matter the territory or suite they sell.
The people at this company are fantastic, but the culture needs some work on the sales side. They have a bit of an old-school mindset that isn’t customer-centric and is always demanding more, and people get burnt out really easily. You can tell very quickly if a new hire is not going to be able to handle the high expectations. The good news is that leadership DOES actually care about the mission.
Positioned extremely well for the next 5–10 years and beyond due to some really good investments and being backed by a massive corporation in Charter/Cox.
Not the perfect company by any means, but if you stick around for over a year, you will gain extremely valuable experience in being prescriptive in handling procurement processes. Government tech is truly a different beast and will make any rep 10x better. Browse Other Reviews
