While Sales at Oyster used to be an exciting, fruitful, and positive environment, in recent months, it has become an environment of micromanagement and fear-based management tactics from the new Sales leadership. Compensation plans have also been changed in a way where it's harder to receive commission payouts in a timely fashion.

My overall experience was okay. There were quite some quarters, where targets were way off the market status, but generally, they are pretty achievable. Although, most of the time the job would require you to overwork and work in two roles at once.

The product is far behind competitors. Career advancement is only noticeable from BDR -> AE otherwise it's almost nonexistent. Internal SLA to get answers to Zendesk tickets (80% of your job due to SOTs never being updated) is 48 hours and this will be a leading cause of why reps lose deals. Steer clear if you want to make money worth your value.
