My experience here has been interesting. I am in a PEO outside the base role. The base pay is decent and if you can continually close deals you can make a lot of money. Downside would be that the training was not great and the product is complicated, but its sales so if you aren’t producing because you’re still trying to learn the product they won’t care and will look to replace you rather than educate you. Also not many inbound leads come in so it is tough to find a rhythm in how you present. Most of the management that I encountered were pleasant though. Great role if you have prior HCM experience and/or suitable contacts for a channel/referral partnership.

It was a great experience and set me up with an awesome foundation. The problem I ran into was people kept getting promoted or shuffled around so I had 5 different managers in 1 year. The last one I had was more of a task manager and Covid hit.

I love my team and my manager. I would say your experience is largely dependent on your immediate team and territory. It’s hard to hit quota here, however you will learn a lot so long as you’re comfortable not hitting quota for the first 6 months.
