Question

Interviewing for an account executive position here (Denver office). Getting mixed feedback on how much of an opportunity this is and what hybrid model is like. Requirement is in office Monday/Tuesday/Friday
and field Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, but are you actually in field all day for 3 days/week?

Not hybrid at all. Even if you have zoom meetings, leadership will request you schedule them for an office day or take them from your car or a meeting room in a library in your T. I put about 30k miles a year on my car when I did this job and I had a local territory.

It is a great opportunity, the Denver manager is one of the best at Paycom., The regional vp is also stellar and cares about his people. I know b/c I’m in the same region. And yes you really are in your territory on those days. I’m currently answering this from a hotel in Nebraska.

Like the others said not hybrid. I have been yelled at for being at the office on a field day to dial. Sometimes trying to book more meetings felt like a better use of time than driving to buildings that I couldn’t get into to drop off a goodie bag, yet I feared being called and not being in my car.

In the field all day 8-5 wherever your territory is. Mine was a 3 hour drive to closest. Remote days do not exist.

Definitely not a hybrid role. You are in office 2.5 days/week and traveling to meet clients in your territory the other 2.5 days. You are expected to be in the field all day on those days, whether it’s meeting clients or doing drops to prospects.

Nothing about this role is "hybrid." You're expected to have leadership on every call, and you *will* get fired if you do not spend 9+ hours with clients/prospects in-person on field days. Paycom watches you like a hawk. Expect to work 70 hours a week, while being told you're "not working hard enough."
