How many rounds of layoffs has Pluralsight had now? Someone said 6...
Of course (unless you're in senior leadership) you don't have a crystal ball and know if there's more coming. Would it be still a good time to join the company if I'm looking to start out in Sales?

If you are looking to get started in sales, then it could be pretty good.  If you are looking to pivot and are a more experienced salesperson, then probably not.  The roles have recently been "leveled down" in terms of pay bands aka they want cheaper people doing them.  With this, I fully expect another round of layoffs to hit the sales team in the next couple months.  *no crystal ball though*

Every 6 months they layoff additionally some auto resignation by D+ employees just prior to layoffs . Since January 2024, witnessed two rounds of layoffs (Jan 9th and the most recent occurring as recently as yesterday)

Given this uncertainty, it's wise to explore other roles.

I can’t say how many rounds of layoffs it’s been. Many times companies hide it behind the guise of PIPs. But it’s still a mess… I am hearing good things about the FLOW product and if you’re going to sell that product it might be worth pursuing.

6 layoffs is correct. Started in Dec 2022, and just keeps happening.

I've seen several new hires get let go in less than 3 months of starting the last 12 months. They just sent an email yesterday (mar 18th) saying that they will not disclose whether or not layoffs will continue. Very ominous and sounds like mores coming. This most recent was product only, I'd imagine this next one will hit sales again.

Pluralsight was and probs always will be the best job I ever had. Beautiful calm culture, great place to start in sales. I was laid off in December 22 after 1 year there and would still go back if the job came up! Go for it. It won’t look bad on your resume given their track record, plus pay out!

In addition to formal lay offs, each January the sales teams are shuffled as part of the strategy and many folks find themselves in a game of musical chairs.

As a more recent employee I'm uncertain of the amount of layoffs there have been. They just did some more relatively recently, but was part of an organization restructure and Sales was untouched.

They spent a lot of time last year revamping the sales team, so if there are open positions listed then it is a part of that plan and I would say it's a safe time to join.
