Current Employee In the SMB space, we rely on a sales analyst team to analyze our database and properly place accounts in line with what each segment is (small biz, mid market, nationals, etc.) . Well, when you rely on 1 or 2 humans that either have side relationships and/or are completely incompetent, you get what happened in Concur SMB at the start of 2025. Not to mention, there was a universe of other issues before this one- but this may take the cake.
The giant mistake of accidentally placing large, mid market/enterprise accounts in our small business space, and the small, unviable accounts in our larger market segments, has already led to huge turnover and a complete lack of trust in leadership. Of course, they would never acknowledge the mistake, because that is how the Concur culture runs.
If you are looking for a sales job, while you may believe that Concur is still an industry leader & a solid place to be employed, it has changed drastically and we are getting eaten alive by the competition, and management has shown a complete disinterest in making improvements, and care more about their base salary and advanced stock options.
