I am interviewing for the Manager of Account Development role. What is the process like, and what type of questions should I expect? Any tips?

Sounds like there's not much room for negotiation when it comes the comp package for the Commercial AE role. Is this true? Also, are there other things you can negotiate into the offer? Such as sign-on bonus, RSUs, etc.

Had a great 2nd round with the sales manager last week - he seemed excited to see me progress. I followed up with my recruiter but haven’t heard back. It’s been a week, which is unusual. Anyone else experience this after a strong second round?

I'd interviewed at Samsara at the beginning of the year for a Commercial AE role. OTE was a wildly low number.. I believe 65k base and 130k OTE. Has this improved at all? Not reasonable pay for a quasi CSM, BDR, AE, AM Role.

Quick question about the difference in segments at Samsara. So let's just say you're a commercial AE and while prospecting you come across a client that is technically in the mid market segment. Do you have to hand that off to an mid market ae or can you close the deal yourself?

How is handling customers after sign off in the commercial AE role? Does the product have a strong imp practice and success rate? Are there times where you are stuck in escalations when you could be selling? The job seems more enticing to me compared to my current job and this is my last concern.

In the final interview for commercial AE at Samsara. I’ve been selling for 2 ish years and looking for something different (ERP SaaS sales). Initially, I’m drawn to the faster sales cycles and apparent amount of reps who hit quarterly quota. How does this actually look internally for reps?

What is the interview process like for a Commercial AE?

I got offered a Renewal AE position. I am transitioning from a cross-sell Senior Account Manager role. So, it could be a step down for me. Still, Samsara seems to be a great place to be. What does career progression look like for an RAE? Or anyone in the seat, can you talk about what it's like?

Do the teams specialize at all around products or can all reps sell telematics, video safety, monitoring into any account? are the comp plans product specific in any way - seeing more opportunity on certain SKUs (or better commission structures?)

Ryan from RepVue here, working on new classification of our salary data, refining to the different levels / job titles for that Samsara uses; looks like SMB = Commercial, are there any levels here? Mid-Market seems to have AEs and Sr. AEs - then Enterprise, Majors and Strat are all separate? help!

Did Samsara lower their MM AE OTE, again? Now I'm seeing under $120k on the low end of their range. I believe it was closer to $136k previously. Am I wrong or missing something?
