How would you describe the culture within the sales department at SkillSoft?

The culture & morale is very low in the sales organisation due to over inflated & over aggressive quotas since going public. Very little if not zero individuals hitting quota which obviously has a negative effect on motivation.

Marketing & lead gen is very very poor from a structure & result point of view.  Also very little brand awareness against other key players in the market.

Very poor morale, high quota’s, no transparency in compensation plans and addition to that when you should get paid for your deals for some reason you won’t.

It’s horrid, not a winning culture, full of excuses. Super low, if any quota attainment.

Lack of accountability and ownership from all leadership.

A complete debacle.
And they don’t pay commissions for your sales they make excuses and don’t ever figure it out.

Skillsoft is not committed to creating and sustaining a culture.  The sales organization is not efficient due to a lack of innovation in its process, policies and protocols.  Revenue targets are not achieved due to an antiquated pricing model which erodes top line revenue for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 customers, while also eroding valueable margin. It varies as RVPs who are generally good have their hands tied behind their back by bizarrely Sales Ops who seem to be the puppet masters rather than the CRO set with impossible regional / team quotas (which are shrouded in mystery and secrecy but Einstein has confirmed c+40% content & c+20% ILT!).
