Obviously Sonatype has significant attrition. I asked the recruiter how many Enterprise reps achieved quota and was told 33%. I was also told the next tranche of 33% attained 60% or better. The last third was said to be either new or on the way out. 
Sonatype Veterans: Does this seem accurate?

Yup, spot on.  Not much lead flow, lots of SCA tools out there.  That being said, the Sonatype offering is a solid one....but you likely wont have success via an outbound motion here.  Due to that, they likely have 3x the amount of sellers they really need.

It would be impossible to know the accuracy of those statistics as they are a private organization and legally I don't believe they owe you accurate information on that topic. Ever heard the saying "There's liars, damn liars and statisticians." I can tell you this. The executive suite is very good at spinning poor statistics and bad news, mostly worded and approved by Vista Equity. At a minimum, I would be skeptical of those percentages as it is likely those attainment percentages are much worse. I can tell you during my tenure there were multiple quarters in a row on multiple teams who's sales attainment percentages were single digits or in the teens. Both individual attainments & team attainment. The Federal group MIGHT be hitting those attainment numbers you outlined however, SMB, Enterprise/Strategic AM's in the commercial space are certainly not averaging anything close that those attainments. Federal team is hitting their number. The other groups are International (EMEA, APAC, etc), Americas (USA & Canada), and Strategic (Top Customers). The Americas have been struggling to meet their number. I'm confident American-based AE's can find success here but you sure better have a good grasp of the top accounts in your territory and be willing to do a lot of your own outreach without relying on BDR support.
