Former Employee Was part of the Sophos/Secureworks acquisition. It was an absolute disaster. Leadership was out of touch with Enterprise sales. During the acquisition (after multiple rounds of layoffs) they were planning on keeping a handful of Secureworks AEs as their enterprise team. Sophos does not have a big presence in the Enterprise space, nearly impossible to compete against CRWD/S1/MSFT. When asking leadership these questions about their Enterprise strategy here were the responses:
How many customers does Sophos have: 600k (sounds great until you dig into it) most of that was through MSSP
What is the average ARR of those customers: $2500 which is ridiculous
Sophos has historically been a vendor targeting and selling into the SMB space, what is the strategy to go up market into Enterprise: "Well it's up to the reps to get into those knife fights"
They also doubled our quotas, assigned new territories and within one week of having those territories asking us to forecast a minimum of 250k for a quarter we were a month into, just getting our accounts, no inherited opportunities, and a 6- 9 month deal cycle. Within 1 month, 3 reps on my team quit. Browse Other Reviews
