Once upon a time, this was a good place to make money. The shift to try to be a SaaS product when most sales were coming from on-prem/hybrid use cases ended up killing the momentum, and after continuous layoffs/reductions of headcount, the quotas haven't changed, and are completely unattainable for 90% of people. The focus is almost entirely on outbound lead generation, and they won't share the OSS Trino user base.

Great place, but hard to be successful. Overcrowded market with much more mature solutions and native cloud offerings creates tough selling ecosystem and prospects who default to what is most comfortable/well known to them.
