I've noticed lots of negative review from current reps, would people please mind, expanding:

-How is the culture currently?
-What does average quota attainment look like for an AE?
-Would people recommend Tipalti as an employer?

I personally wouldn't recommend Tipalti as an employer. Quota attainment is improving after the mass lay off but its the leadership team that's the problem. They have no clue what's going on and things keep changing almost daily. Its a lot of unnecessary stress

Previously, there were too many teams for the limited opportunities. Few reps were hitting quota, but the majority were barely making it. So the sales culture was pretty toxic. Product-market fit was declining - Implementation team struggling with keeping deals on track due to product gaps. The layoffs made it harder to keep the projects on track. But then, it became the reps fault.  After the layoffs, you'd expect that to be adjusted.

Quota attainment should be higher now that the reps have more territory to sell into. There's favourtism- so expect inquity in terms of what your manager gives you. Previously, around 20-25% of the reps were hitting quota, which was a warning sign.

Mass layoffs happen every 2 years - and reps find out via email. This goes to show how they treat the employees.

You'll likely hit quota - most AEs now have multiple territories each. The commission payout process is...challenging. It requires you to wait for a compliance check to get 50% of your money, and then implementation for the next 20%. That's an indefinite process that can take weeks or months.
