How would you describe the interview process for the role you applied for, and what should others expect, pros and cons, etc?

If you're coming straight out of college it's a great opportunity to become an AE quickly and rise up the corporate ranks. If you're an AE with 3+ years experience this isn't the place for you anymore. Verkada has made a huge shift in hiring in late 2021 to hire lower OTE's, and stop hiring high OTE candidates with seasoned talent anymore because they know it's 200% territory based. The BIGGEST downfall of Verkada is not having territorial quotas so New York SLED, Los Angeles corp, San Diego corp all have the same # as South East Alabama corp, West Kentucky corp, and South Dakota SLED... So your life can either be a gravy walk filled with pretentious success, or a nightmare. It's tough because they will not lock you into a territory until after training, and multiple people in my training class was told they would have the same territory. You also are required to go into the office all 5 days a week which is absolutely bizarre post-covid and will burn you out quickly.  Verkada raised quotas 40% since Q2 of 2021 (15%cthen, 15% Q421, and 10%Q2 22) which is absolutely nuts considering our office finished at around 30-40% the past 3 quarters. Overall if you're trying to get into the tech world and don't mind the grind it can be worth it, however if you're making over even 150 OTE I would stay away.
