I'm just going to tell you flat out- do NOT work at Yelp. I wasted four years here and now I'm having a hard time leaving because nobody takes Yelp experience seriously on your resume. Get a job as an SDR/BDR at a good company. This place is toxic and terrible. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Target is a joke. You won't make serious money unless you're hitting double your quota. Usually you're carrying a quota for struggling reps that should have been terminated months ago, but they keep around for head count purposes to make shareholders happy.

Target and quota are impossible to reach with small payouts, but I will say this, Yelp is a resume booster. If this is your first role out of college or first tech role do it. Was my first role out of college, and helped me get my foot in the door with the large tech orgs. Now i'm doing Mid-Market at a large fin-tech. The recruiters see the Yelp name, most dont know how bad the role is.

I had no sales experience and hit 4x quota my first month with only 3 weeks in the month. As long as you're able to adapt and carry a conversation, it's pretty easy. Find something to fix, something to relate to and bring solutions to as many concerns as you can and it will work out.
