Former Employee Yelp was rough, mentally, for most folks, and only about 30% of my class made it through the first year. They trained very thoroughly but the market didn’t have a good perception of Yelp and the sales had to be very high pressure for a small commission.
I was able to put up decent numbers in a rough territory, upgrade territories, switch to a high performing team with a great manager, increase my territories in order to do quite well but many people couldn’t pull that off. You had work very hard and play your cards right to get a shot at making above 70k, but that was decent money for entry level in Chicago for the time. We did have an upbeat social office with a keg so many younger folks enjoyed that aspect. I’m very curious how things have gone since! Browse Other Reviews
