Zip Recruiter was great until it wasn't. The culture significantly shifted after layoffs happened in May of 2023. After that, the clients seemed to get worse. The product barely worked. It was expensive when many clients didn't see results. By the end I was stressed out because I wasn't hitting my numbers and on top of all of that I felt like a snake oil salesperson. I had to move on for these reasons.

My overall experience was negative. Mentally draining environment with no matter how hard you’re working, you’ll probably get canned if you don’t hit quota, which is based on commission, which higher deals are unlikely. So you won’t hit. Only reps there for like 2-3 years were hitting over in my org
