Zoom is a great company with a great product that is continuing to get better and evolve. You have no shortage of things to sell. With the pandemic behind us every company has video meeting tools so you’ll spend pretty much all of your time as a rep hunting phone and contact center deals which can blast out your quota but they are difficult to come by and are highly competitive deals with most of them coming from the channel and not through self sourcing outbound activities. You better be ready to prospect as an AE or you won’t make it. The base salary sucks but the RSU’s and commission more than make up for it if you can close. Overall great company, great CEO and fantastic product in a saturated market.

It’s been more difficult since the glory days, but that’s also true for the rest of the tech industry. We’re a technology first company where product is the priority which gives us options when selling to the customers who we were able to retain during the pandemic.

There is no more training here. It doesn't feel like there are any opportunities for moving up within the company. Our territories are a disaster and quotas are unattainable. Quotas are set with the goal of 55% hitting, but we are nowhere near that percent of reps hitting. Benefits keep getting taken away. Layoffs are still happening.
