Current Employee It's an increasingly competitive market - and Gartner has done ZS no favors in the past few years.
Under the hood, the technology does exactly what it needs to do and is highly competitive. A lot of competitive technology companies spend exhaustive efforts talking smack about ZS - it's FUD.
All this to say - inbounds aren't common. You're still grinding it out with events, emails, phone calls and research to find opportunities to break into new logos.
Most prospects have "heard" of ZS - so, you have some credibility entering most rooms. But, many companies have loyalty to traditional network security vendors - so, you spend a lot of time trying to "change their religion" a little bit.
All in - there are much worse places to be. Product market fit is there. You just have to cut through the noise to find leads.
