Former Employee The product had solid market fit and generated strong buyer interest, but the internal experience was deeply flawed. Leadership manipulated the comp plan quarter by quarter, raising targets and structuring bonuses so that only one person might hit the top tier. Even hitting 160% of your revenue goal could land you in the lowest bonus bracket, far below the OTE originally promised. The bonus structure was inconsistent, unclear, and made it nearly impossible to plan or trust payouts.
Calendars were packed with nonstop internal meetings and prospect calls, often leaving no time for lunch or basic breathing room. PTO was restricted, if another rep had time off that overlapped, you weren’t allowed to take yours. You were expected to find someone else to cover your inbound leads in order to be granted time off, making the whole process burdensome and discouraging.
Leadership routinely ignored feedback, avoided accountability, and often gaslit or blamed reps instead of addressing systemic issues. The product had promise, but the culture and leadership ultimately made the job unsustainable.
