Still a good org where you can focus on selling, with large deals, many resources to help you close those deals, and managers who tend to mostly leave you alone. The biggest drawback is the big company bureaucracy you have to deal with, but worth the trade off because it’s not like Salesforce or Oracle where you have morons breathing down your neck for deal updates and pipeline bullspit 50% of your time.

My overall experience is amazing. It’s a tough job but you have dedicated individuals who will go out of their way to ensure you are meeting your quota. The leadership is out of touch with the business and the culture at AWS is pretty toxic. Ability to earn incentive comp is limited by the 2024 comp plan. It’s like they want AMs to leave the business.
