AWS is a leader in the industry, which makes it easy to push their products. There’s virtually no inbound leads so when you have a quota of over $100M and a 35% YoY growth target, it makes it quite difficult to hit your number. Not everyone in the company has quotas that big but those that do sometimes can make less as someone with a smaller number who can easily exceed quota.

The culture has been pretty solid. Most people are happy but it's manager dependent. One thing I'm not a fan of is the promotion process. You have to write a document to justify your promotion and have others write for you as well then have it reviewed. It's pretty awkward and humiliating
