The day after a massive company lay-off, the founder showed up in a very loud $900 Fendi Sweater. This level of tone-deafness seeps into every area of the business and is why reps and prospects don't buy into your vision or believe in your product market fit. The CEO is the definition of WeWork adjacent VC darling- who would rather have PREVIOUSLY owned a company than be owning one right now. The board will make a lot of money I'm sure but the reps won't. If this company is around in 10 years, I'll eat my gong. Shoutout to those who left- some of the people who worked there and quit after 4 months are some of the best organizational leaders I have ever met.

I was a Software Account Executive at Cart. Overall, it can be a great opportunity to learn. The downfall is weak software product market fit and pricing is all over the place. CEO knows nothing about GTM strategy or roles. They laid off all GTM leadership and kept one rep from each team, who then reported to a VP of product. Got rid of all sales enablement. The VPs of product have no idea how to run sales. CEO does not know what culture means. Joke of a company.
