My overall experience was pretty terrible from a mental health perspective. There is an old boys club at Confluent and if you’re new/not in the club don’t expect to get anything done or any support. People are extremely rude at Confluent. There’s an overall sense of “we’re pretty smart”. Which I suppose is fine because it’s deep tech and they need to be. However, it does nothing for culture.

So far Confluent has been an awesome organization to work with. Not a lot of cons, good amount of pros. Great base pay, great comp structure, and great ability for career progression. Overall very happy here! This org also opens a door to so many opportunities.
