What is the sales culture like at Couchbase.  Does Capella have all the bugs worked out?

Couchbase has a depressing culture because there are so few net new deals for Capella.

It’s not great. They lack any sales training/mindset. Hire people who are expected to work out of the box but in the end don’t. Promote people way too early.

Capella isn’t anything new in the space.

If you want no culture but training go to oracle. Culture, but less enterprise, go to mongo.

Capella is not even production ready,  there are major bugs and issues with customers, and there was even an issue that a cocuhbase engineer did by him self a rolling update, without approval and deleted more than 20 customer clusters, without the option to recover the data.

They are way behind selling a good solution, and the market is super full. Also the world-wide sales leader from UK lacks vision and empathy.

All products have some bugs, so no to that question. But IMO it could be worse. 
Sales culture depends on your segment. Things are changing fast here, IMO your experience at Couchbase will come down to who your manager/VP is. Teams are pretty siloed commercially, so culture depends on your front line manager. 
Exec leadership is pretty out of touch. Will teach MEDDIC which is great, but we have a # of at bats issue. Not closing issue here.
