Gartner is a very old school company. The tenure is very high here, a good portion of reps, managers, VPs have only worked at Gartner. Therefore they have not been exposed to other management styles, technologies, and cultures. Everything is scripted and you will be overtaught the basics. Salesforce from my understanding was implemented 3 years ago and it is a mess / not being utilized correctly (can't upload notes, have next steps, or call out of salesforce). There is no Gong so learning from others is hard. We just started recording from Teams, but other reps do not have access to those recordings. You would think a company that is known for best practices would be a leader within tech and skill, but that is far from the truth. Lots of change needs to take place here.

Boring, but safe company. Experience greatly depends on territory and manager. Compensation is limited, but WLB can be decent if the manager isn't micromanaging.

great company to work for. Nice incentives for overperformance. Gartner is almost 2 companies; the research side, and the sales side that runs like a well oiled machine. Great place to work if you adopt the best practices.
