Former Employee Don’t let the LinkedIn hype fool you—Gong isn’t the dream workplace it’s made out to be. They’re hiring aggressively, but the pipeline doesn’t justify the headcount, and most new reps are set up to fail. Retention for fresh hires is abysmal.
Unless you’re one of the OGs or internal influencers, you’re on your own. Leadership’s attention is locked on commercial and enterprise segments, so mid-market reps are largely ignored and under-supported.
Don’t expect inbound leads either—you’ll be grinding outbound every single day. Meanwhile, the OG reps are feasting on existing accounts for upsells while new hires get left with weak books and dead zones.
Sales ops isn’t doing new reps any favors either. Territories and accounts are distributed unevenly, and internal favoritism is hard to ignore. The playing field is anything but level. Proceed with caution. Browse Other Reviews
