Very solid company to work for until recently. Blackstone (PE) purchased IDC about 4 years ago and they are finally laying the hammer down. Company is falling apart. Layoffs left and right. Extreme, and I mean extreme micromanagement. Lots of change, and executive leadership/management turn over by the quarter. Quotas are now unachievable and accelerators are a joke. IDC went from being a 3-5% growth company YoY for decades, and now Blackstone is demanding 30% growth per year. No new tools or products for us sales reps to hit our new numbers, just grind reps and teams as hard as possible. New sales comp team is a mess and is causing top performers to leave due to lack of opportunity to make money. If you join now, just know you’re disposable and just a number to Blackstone. A real bummer to watch this play out.

IDC is a great company. Crawford provided excellent leadership while I was there and we were frequently competitive in a difficult market arena with Gartner and Forrester. As a whole, the company was great. We were coming out of Covid and they provided relief to reps that were missing quota some months. I've never seen a company pay salespeople for not performing.
