Current Employee I would steer as far away from the sales organization as possible. I am also someone who works cross functionally, and can say we all share similar sentiments.
Company was started 28 years ago, and most of the companies leadership team is comprised of frat friends of the founder who have never worked at any other organization.
I had three VP's and Directors in under 2 years, and things have just progressively gotten worse...meanwhile I have been a top performer. Take that with a grain of salt when 90% of the floor closes a couple deals a year, if that.
The only ones closing are MCDs - a handful of reps, who have been here forever, and even they sometimes have rough years.
If you're looking at a sales director, commercial director, associate commercial director, or BDR role here - you are better off investing that time and energy on a more suitable org.
They don't hire for anything else because leadership never leaves, they all just move around division to division and have no clue what effective leadership would ever look like.
