Current Employee Microsoft remains strong in the market, and a great place to work. Recent changes this fiscal year (FY26) have been challenging, and may be reflective of a foundational culture shift that is negative, however, it is too early to tell (8/25). Microsoft's products and services continue to evolve with the market, while maintaining security and scale. The portfolio is vast, and it is easy and reasonable to meet or exceed targets even on large quotas by overachieving in a few specific areas, while other areas my be under target. Because of the "Total Weighted Attainment" metric, it is still possible to meet or exceed quota with a portfolio stacked heavily in 2 or 3 product verticals. This makes the selling environment flexible and allows us to focus on what the customer needs to be successful rather than a list of skus to go sell. If you are considering applying to MSFT for any sales or technical specialist roles, understand that certifications and trainings are the key. Sales generalists won't make the cut. You need to come in as a heavy, daily AI user and with at least a few certs, like AZ-900 and AI-900. Browse Other Reviews
