The pay at Microsoft as an Application Innovation Specialist is fantastic, but the experience was disappointing. The turnover in the Financial Services vertical was high, and senior reps were often unhelpful and rude. It felt like there was no real support from leadership, and it was tough to get anything done with so much inconsistency.
Training? Don’t expect much. You’re expected to already know the job when you come in, and there's little to no onboarding. If you're not already well-versed in the industry and technology, you're pretty much on your own.
The upside is that because it's Microsoft, people will take your calls, but that only goes so far when you lack the training or support to deliver. The brand might get you in the door, but after that, it’s up to you to make things work.
In summary, while the pay is great, the lack of guidance and the challenging work environment make this role tough for anyone not already experienced in the field. If you can manage with minimal help and learn on the fly, it might be worth it, but otherwise, it’s a tough gig. Browse Other Reviews
