Current Employee Motive is an exceptional place to grow in your sales career. I've nearly doubled my income every year (90k first year, on target for 300k this year), and have made some of my closest friends while developing in my role. I believe in the product and mission, but we could have better professional development internally. Most of my growth has come from experience/time spent in the role and outside investment in sales methodology training. I've also been lucky to work for the best managers the company has in MM. I could see how others may not have been as lucky, and this limited the success they had in the role. The good news is, this has been recognized by leadership and they have implemented a stronger sales methodology and enablement program - that actually works. This role requires grit, and a lot of your opportunities to be self-sourced. If we had a better/more equitable inbound lead stream, this would be the best tech company to work in MM sales, bar none. I would highly recommend anyone with a good work ethic and character to seek an opportunity at Motive, regardless of experience level. Browse Other Reviews

Totally hear you on the development and inbound front. We know those are big levers for success and that not everyone had the same experience in the past. Glad you’ve noticed the changes we’ve been rolling out with sales methodology and enablement — we’re going to keep doubling down there so every rep gets that support.
