I began my career at NetSuite as a BDR for 2 years and an AE for 1. It has been an exceptional place to start my career- the training is amazing for a college grad and the BDR role really helps you cut your teeth. As an AE, you will succeed if you are able to cold call/tap into your own accounts. Accounts are not assigned to you, so it is your job to be a hunter and find accounts that are a good fit for NetSuite while still being unclaimed by other reps. This is not a fit for everyone but I had great success in the role and found it to be a remarkable place to begin in sales. Only downside is quota for AE's is extremely unattainable- only 20-30% of reps hit 50% of their quota. Only a handful of reps will satisfy their quota out of around 400 in the emerging space. The money is still good if you can close some deals but "president's club" is not a motivating factor for most reps haha. All in all I loved my experience here and would definitely come back and work here again.
