Current Employee In the NetSuite for Government GIU. NetSuite as a whole is great, but the product, integration, and consulting fees are way too expensive considering our target demographic is small to mid sized local governments.
The opportunity goal post is constantly moved, hitting quota has become literally impossible and pay is pool-based and incredibly non transparent. There is no training or enablement for the role or product, and management style is fear-based from the very top down. The org is constantly threatened with departmental layoff. There is no job well done, even at 200% to goal (personal experience) you will be squeezed to work harder and threatened with being laid off if not, even though there is no additional commission pool payout after 125%. Additionally you are expected to stay in seat for a minimum of 2 years before promotion (something they do not disclose in the interview process), though there are consistent over performers 3+ years in seat with no hope for promotion.
Unless you want to do all of the work of a full-cycle AE (including full discovery, 18 question BANT qualification sheet, TCO analysis) for the salary of an underpaid XDR I would not recommend this role.
