Smoke and mirrors at the exec and c suite level. This is really a late stage startup that shouldn’t have IPOed when it did, IMO. Now unable to look itself honestly in the mirror and admit that it’s fallen behind and can’t adjust to an enterprise sales model. Identity crisis with our customers too. They think we still are just a paging service (I mean look at our marketing and mascot). Major chip on shoulder and entitled aptitude. Employees are generally pretty great as a group though, and diversity is legit. Just weak middle management and totally out of step at the very top.

Career architecture is a joke here. They look past performance data and the metrics they've set for promotion, and deny people based on "lack of tenure in role". However, then they regularly break this for their favourite people who don't fit the requirements for performance and promote them before.
