Paychex is a great company if work/life balance is the number 1 thing you’re looking for. Management is great and they do not micro-manage (at least in my experience—I have heard if you are not reaching your sales goals they manage more). As far as compensation, they are years behind the market rate. Other companies offer base pays 20K higher for the same position. Our commissions are good IF you are hitting your quotas. Some months our quotas are honestly wack and pretty much impossible to reach. Of 60 mid-market reps, only 9 hit their yearly quota. Overall, I have liked it here but I’m starting to look elsewhere or wanting to get promoted within. The burnout is setting in.

A dissapontment. Things have changed so much and now the corporate goal is to eliminate as many top producers in exchange for younger less expensive workers.

Very negative. It’s all about unrealistic KPI’s and micromanaging that distracts you from the real goal of selling. Everyone including upper leadership outwardly expressed fear of losing their jobs. The prospects have been hit 1000x each already and often hang up on you. Compensation is low compared to other similar companies. Do not recommend.
