Are people leaving fake reviews on here?  Heard that Paycom has been awful for sales folks, but now it's a good place to work?

It’s been almost a year since I worked there so take that for what it is. But this was the worst environment for me - it works for some, yes, and the compensation can be great. It depends on what you can accept in terms of micro-managing, fear of getting fired each week, ego in management and in coworkers. Tenure means nothing, they’ll fire you if you have a bad few months or if someone with pull doesn’t vibe with you. The stress was palpable in my office and I saw nearly everyone turn over while i was there, pregnant employees be forced into bed rest because of too much stress, coworkers getting seizures and going on leave, anxiety attacks, etc. Each office is different of course and it all depends on how you can manage it. If you’re mentally tough and the earning potential truly matters to you, go for it and see if it’s a fit, but no matter how hard they try to say they are “winners”, having over a 60% turnover rate and not treating your employees right doesn’t scream winner to me.  But my values are just different than the leadership. It’s not a place I would recommend to anyone I cared about. If you still want to give it a go, I recommend the CRR position over the new biz side.

Depends what you see as a good place to work. You can make a ton of money here because the comp plan (once you get promoted to an executive rep). However, the turnover is insane and leadership is brutal. Definitely an absolute grind, and tough industry to sell in.

It’s a cutthroat environment. Many people have been with the company for decades, make $1M+/year and are crushing it. There are also people who don’t even get the chance to last longer than 90 days. If you want to be successful, get ready to work 80+ hour weeks, especially at first.

When you're doing well it's great, when you aren't it's as true as the reviews say. Nobody is just content at Paycom. If you have a bad month and don't hit the meeting counts you're out no matter how good your paycom resume is.

The new VP of sales has done a phenomenal job giving the sales organization, the capability in the tools to be more successful. She also reduced turnover by redoing the training and ramp up for new reps. The caveat with Paycom is that your manager makes your experience.
