PayPal company goals do not align with rep goals. Management said 2024 was a transition year and goals and pay would be adjusted in 2025. They requested reps to stick with them while they make the appropriate pay changes. It’s now 2025 and goals have yet to be adjusted. They did move us to a quarterly goal vs. monthly (number not set yet). Having a quarterly with no bump in base pay means as a top performer you have to wait 3 months for your commissions.

My overall experience at Paypal is very average. Nothing really exciting. Product I sell isn't changing the wheel.

Great product but tough to build momentum with new business due to PYPL button presence. Backbook AEs focus on selling direct card processing via Braintree, BNPL messaging, Risk as a service, etc., to existing clients, which is easier but dependent on green space in portfolio. Long sales cycle.
