Former Employee Email security is a commodity sale and 100% replacement business. The space is crowded and the differentiators are minimal. Not exciting cutting edge technology but essential. Customers are already Microsoft and Google for email platform, they don't want to pay much for securing it on top so hence deals are smaller and very time consuming. No one switches out email on a whim its methodical and slow. Microsoft dominates the space only due to E3 and E5 but Proofpoint has good positioning however over time they are there own worst enemy and are $$$ for something Mimecast does cheaper. It's a pretty uneventful sale talking about phishing, click rates, etc. a lot of mid tier talent all around and underperforming is accepted. not the worst aveneue in today's world. Overall Gary Steele's is on a mission to take companies private or get aquired and become a billionaire one day. He is now 2 for 2.
