Current Employee With the start of the new fiscal year, the sales org has undergone a number of different changes (e.g., product shifts, talk tracks, training). Honestly feels like upper management is just throwing whatever they can come up with at the wall to see what sticks. Very few people are actually hitting quota. We've definitely overhired and as a result, people have been let go left and right. Some people weren't even given a chance to redeem themselves from terrible books of business. Overall, the mood has soured in the sales org and it's becoming increasingly apparent that it's getting harder and harder to hit your targets as an SDR, let alone be eligible for promotion because they keep moving the flag.
